‘eby all stars’ took on the mighty Baldwins Accountants in what promised to be a competitive night of football. Unfortunately the promise was not delivered and eby came a distant second. 

Despite fierce opposition the ‘all stars’ fired several blistering shots towards the goal (admittedly some were at their own goal) and one or two actually made it through the net. 

However, a night of celebration was not to be had by the ‘all stars’.  Baldwin’s unorthodox and unpredictable attack led to 3 points for the professional mathematicians.

Following a phenomenal turnout at their recruitment day (an event conceived and promoted by the team at eby design) which saw over 200 people interviewed, the new 'The Tanning Cabin' store at St Mary's Retail Park, Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, Derby is ready to open on March 5th.

All 10 positions have been successfully filled with local applicants, including 2 apprentices. Mark Jackson joint owner of The Tanning Cabin group, said that one of the biggest concerns for everybody in the country at the moment was youth unemployment. By taking on apprentices, The Tanning Cabin group are helping to combat this and last year converted 2 apprentices into full time employees.

Located just a few minutes from the City Centre, the new store is the biggest in The Tanning Cabin group and features world class tanning and beauty facilities in a purpose built store setting.

The unit in which the store is located had previously stood empty for 2 years. Thanks to The Tanning Cabin's extensive refit, carried out by a local shop-fitting firm, the unit has undergone a transformation which guests can enjoy during their own rejuvenation.

Of the online shoppers surveyed in Germany, 44% saw improvements in their quality of life. Reasons stated were "online shopping is more fun" (41%), "less stressful" (63%) and "better management of time" (81%).

Of the respondents that had limited access to physical shops and stores, 75% were certain online shopping had a positive impact on quality of life.

Web shopping was also perceived as being an emotional experience. Two-thirds of those surveyed looked forward to their package being delivered. Over 50% of respondents said the experience was akin to "receiving a gift", and that they experience an emotional high when their online purchase is delivered.

The core finding of the study is that e-commerce has become part of mainstream society.
